Gristlegrim Mini-Dungeon : Khosht

This is the largest island you've seen yet - a good 30 feet in diameter. In the exact center of it is a trilithon built of 3 stones. Beneath the archway is a treasure chest. Something tells you that this is the place you needed to find. As you get closer to the chest you can see that it is locked shut with a sturdy lock. You can't just walk up and open it. However, as you get within touching distance, there is a bamfing noise and the smell of sulphur. Roll 1d6 on the Random Monster chart to see what just appeared.

There is no reasoning with these monsters - only combat. Remember, you may use Magic, but if you do, that is your entire attack and defense for the turn. When you see the monster, you have one moment when you could pray to Gristlegrim to save you - if you pray, go to Prayer. Fight your battle to the death. If you win, go to 2V. If you lose, close the book.
